- Boundary wall to site is protected structure and the existing buildings are on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage so had to be afforded conservation protections.
- Removal and disposal of lead-based paint
- Temporary weathering of roofs and external walls
- Careful removal of windows with temporary propping
- Removal of suspended timber floors
